Wine Bottle In Tall Grass

A good wine enjoyed with friends who could ask for more. An empty bottle laying in tall grass leaves a lot to the imagination and I think this painting evokes the viewers mind to wander. American Flag

It has been awhile that I painted an American Flag much less than one that is obviously twisted up.  This acrylic painting measures 2′ x 2′.  Signed 20″x20″ prints are available on artist grade paper for 50.00 each and that includes mailing. This painting depicts the wonder girl of Argyle Ct. This acrylic painting is 24″x 30″. A fun painting to do and it will be up to the viewer to figure out what ideas and novels will come from the notes she is taking. I also am including the 8.50 x11″ pencil sketch for this painting. Some people like the pencil sketches as much as the finished color painting. A lot of times depending on the painting I will also do watercolors before I go to the canvas. That way I have a pretty good idea of what I want the painting to look like.

This Painting was to incorporate a feeling more than things and objects it shows. The newspapers may be old but they are saved in attics and scrapbooks all over the country. The letter jacket no worse for wear now than when it was worn. The helmet still ready to be strapped on, and the brick, all that is left of a school that had a proud history but ceases to exist. William the Conqueror

This cat had so much attitude it had to be painted. Look for some more “wildlife” paintings. I really enjoyed doing this painting, nice break from doing landscapes. The textures in a cats fur and  their eyes and demeanor are just interesting. I  may have to do another cat soon maybe one with a little less attitude as William here. If your wondering why the mouse  it was added to keep William humble.

"Kosher"

This painting was just a fun painting to do. I needed a break from landscapes and I had this idea floating around in my head and finally got it down on canvas. With all the troops finally coming home this painting captures the moment of the exhilaration of being back with loved ones. In God's Hands

After reading about the injury to Jack Jablonski a local student and hockey player from Benilde High School  I wanted to do something for the family  to show visually that people were praying for Jack and his recovery efforts and leave something with them so that when the hard work of rehab starts that they know that Jack is in good hands all  the time.  I wanted this painting to depict that feeling for the whole Jablonski family. I was so glad to see Jacks father looking at the painting  shown in the St. Paul Pioneer Press Newspaper with a smile on his face, it means a lot to me as an artist that my work can have a positive impact on people. Our prayers are with you Jablonski family.

Beverly

Finally a female portrait that was recently painted. I noticed that I have posted all male portraits and thought Its time to show a stately depiction of a woman. I think the grey background and the cigarette in her hand may not be politically correct but does add a touch of attitude to the overall visual.  This acrylic painting measured 24″x 27″ .
