Bonnie is one of my favorite musicians. Her lyrics get to the point and her music weaves memories into rhythms. I can listen to her music over and over and be amazed at all the small subtle nuances she adds with her voice and her guitar to the melodies. These nuances make her music interesting and irresistible to listen to.

Spartans of Gettysburg
This is a recent painting that has been in the works for sometime . I wanted to finish this by July 4th to celebrate the nations 250th anniversary but I just did not get it off the easel in time. This piece features the heroic 262 men of the First Minnesota charging the Confederate lines at Gettysburg on the second day of battle. 215 Minnesotans fell in a matter of minutes but it was enough to stall and save the Union flank . I wanted to capture just what the se men were looking at as they charged a force of over 1300 enemy soldiers and certain heavy fire.

This fun image shows a bear contemplating what has been presented to him. On a small plate there is an even smaller single lonely piece of broccoli. Creating this reminds me of many diets I have participated in over the years. This 12 x12 piece is featured in the “Cabin” and ” Surreal ” painting categories listed below.
