Rattle Tales

There  is something about a  Pencil drawing that is so satisfying. Maybe it’s because when there is no color the composition has to be done well to capture interest when viewing it. This particular painting shows a late summer Timber Rattlesnake who is taking advantage of the forest floor to conceal himself very well. There is a mouse hiding very close to this predator. The old saying keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer, well this mouse has taken that advice, a few people have found the mouse in the art but some can’t seem to see it . I am thinking about making this into a puzzle but we will see, I would like to do a whole series of these.
