Jack Jablonski Portrait
After reading about the injury to Jack Jablonski a local student and hockey player from Benilde High School I wanted to do something for the family to show visually that people were praying for Jack and his recovery efforts and leave something with them so that when the hard work of rehab starts that they know that Jack is in good hands all the time. I wanted this painting to depict that feeling for the whole Jablonski family. I was so glad to see Jacks father looking at the painting shown in the St. Paul Pioneer Press Newspaper with a smile on his face, it means a lot to me as an artist that my work can have a positive impact on people. Our prayers are with you Jablonski family.
Beverly
Finally a female portrait that was recently painted. I noticed that I have posted all male portraits and thought Its time to show a stately depiction of a woman. I think the grey background and the cigarette in her hand may not be politically correct but does add a touch of attitude to the overall visual. This acrylic painting measured 24″x 27″ . Covered Bridge In Winterset Iowa
Another bridge from Winterset Iowa. This one I painted first in watercolor on site back in 1978. The post and beam construction inside the bridge is almost as interesting as the outside. I have a lot of sketches of the details and some day I amy finish them just for the people who appreciate a craft that has almost disappeared. This original acrylic painting measures 24″x 27″ and is available for purchase. Iowa Landscape Painting

Governor Mark Dayton
I recently read that the previous governor of Minnesota hired an artist from Atlanta Goergia to do his portrait when he left office for the state of Minnesota. For the life of me with all the local talent here in Minnesota I really was disappointed that Mr. Pawlenty could not find a Minnesota artist to do this work. I hope that Mr. Dayton considers local artists to do his portrait when its time for him to leave the Governors office. I don’t think that there isn’t a Minnesota artist that would not enjoy doing a portrait of the governor.
