This painting depicts a Bobcat on the stalk. The beautiful coloring of the animal blends in perfectly with his summertime surroundings even though he is crouching on some iron stained rocks. You often see signs of these animals in the woods but sighting are rare unless you know where they have been hanging out. In the winter they are easier to track but still hard to find they do tend to move around a lot. This signed 12″x18″ Gunflint Series painting is the latest of the series.

Imagine rounding a corner on your favorite lake and just as you raise your rod to cast towards shore by the rocks something stirs in the formation and you suddenly focus and notice that it’s not all rocks over there.
