Wunderkammer Gallery Exhibit
There is a wonderful new gallery in downtown Robbinsdale called the “Wunderkammer” that currently is showing my work and the work of some other really talented artists. Furniture jewelry, scarves, pottery all original all Minnesotan artists. You have to see this place located right on main street in downtown. The gallery is owned by Lisa Garty and she has done an exceptional job in creating the right atmosphere for the work displayed. Go see it this summer it’s a fun place to spend some time.
Train On The Plains.
This painting is titled “An End To An Era”. Two iconic symbols of the old west surrounded by bold colors depicting an approaching nightfall and maybe a storm. This original acrylic measures 36″x 35″. Signed 18x 20″ prints are available now and are posted in the view and order art under the Railroad category.
Heart of Robbinsdale Art 12″x25″
This painting shows downtown Robbinsdale on a bright sunny summer day. The events going on in this scene are open for your interpretation but that’s what makes the art fun to look at. Signed 12×25″prints are available of this piece in the in the product section under Restaraunt Art. The original “Heart Of Robbinsdale” measures 24″ x 24″ and is an acrylic painting that is for sale for $1.800.00.
Vagabonds On The Rails
This painting is part of the train series but I wanted to paint something with a little light hearted feel to it.
The subject matter shows a combination of railroad tank cars full of a combustable substances and the meeting up of three animals which could be explosive too. The new visitor is occupying their space in route to somewhere else and tension is in the air. Just a fun painting.
The original measures 32″ x 34″ and is an acrylic painting and is for sale for $4,200.00. Signed 20×20″ prints are available in the product section under Railroad art.
Racing With The Canadian Pacific
The fifth of the series of trains. This one features a race between a Canadian Pacific engine coming up a long grade and a young woman on a spirited horse. The question is does she intend to dart across the tracks ahead of the engine or come along side the engine and show the engineer how fast a horse she has. A nice summer day scene that I would like to think has happened many times on the Canadian Pacific railway. This signed 12x 24″ print is available in the product section under “Railroad Art” for 75.00.
Wedding Portraits
This is a recent painting for a soon to be wedded couple. A watercolor, a black and white watercolor at that, was something that I have not done in awhile and made for a really challenging new piece for me. It was fun to dust off the watercolors to see what I could come up with. I wanted to to tie a graphic into the art and the heart typographic treatment (done in color) combined with the Black and white portrait seems to work well together and makes it even more special for this wonderful couple.
Great Northern Encounter
The fourth painting of the American train series. This piece shows an encounter at midday between a Great Northern engine and a moose who is deciding if he should cross or wait a few minutes. Signed 13.5 x 34.5 prints of this painting are now available for $75.00. Giclee prints of this art show all the quality and detail. Go to the product page and click on the Railroad Art button to order.
Break Time on The Burlington Northern
This print is for all the Burlington Northern Rail Road workers. Follow the BN routes and you can see they carry through some pretty remote areas in the United States. This print reflects how far from civilization some of these tracks take their crews.
This series continues to grow so watch for new prints on this blog. This print is now available and measures 13″x 34.5 and is signed. Click on the view and order art and then look for the Product Category Section and click on Custom Art Prints.
